I've tried that-using the same wheelset for different bikes-same result. i was mostly trying to poo-poo Jan's high-school-science-class "real world" tests, but that's what I found. Normally what I find is-and this is true for several bikes now-that I seem to have a good day on one the aforementioned bikes, regardless of wind, rain, hills, dirt, good pavement, bad pavement. If I find it happening enough, that particular bike goes to the A group. Those that don't, go to B or ebay, or maybe make winter bike status. I find my Riv's are somewhat manic-y in that way. either I'm a world champ, or it's a struggle. Sorry to say that on the Serotta or Waterfords it's almost always a good day. Again it's just me and I'm making a statement "this is what everybody should do", so YMMV.
