I've tried that-using the same wheelset for different bikes-same result.  i
was mostly trying to poo-poo Jan's high-school-science-class "real world"
tests, but that's what I found.  Normally what I find is-and this is true
for several bikes now-that I seem to have a good day on one the
aforementioned bikes, regardless of wind, rain, hills, dirt, good pavement,
bad pavement.  If I find it happening enough, that particular bike goes to
the A group.  Those that don't, go to B or ebay, or maybe make winter bike
status.  I find my Riv's are somewhat manic-y in that way. either I'm a
world champ, or it's a struggle.  Sorry to say that on the Serotta or
Waterfords it's almost always a good day.  Again it's just me and I'm making
a statement "this is what everybody should do", so YMMV.
