For that reason, in my view the SFR are making a mistake in choosing to offer a 115K Populaire, instead of a longer one. I'm probably in the target group for randonneuring: I've done 200Ks, I've even done 200 mile rides, though not in the last two decades. And I've always been intrigued by the idea of randonneur rides. But why would I bother to make my way to San Francisco just to ride 70 miles? I ride 70 miles from my door every week or so; nothing special about that.
