Thanks for the thoughts so far. It's good to hear opinions and experience on this, as I've been doing a lot of Google searching and review reading, but it's hard to weed through those sometimes.
It seems that there is a general consensus that the dual-purpose pedals are a good idea, but not great in actual application. As a few of you have had such good experience with the Speedplay Frogs, I feel inclined to give them a go. In the end, if I don't like them, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a home for them elsewhere. I am concerned about my knees a bit, as my dad, his brothers, and my grandfather, have all reported some significant knee damage and a few replacements, that if possible, I would like to avoid. The Speedplays seem to offer a good amount of float that is very welcome to me. I'll look around for some shoes as well, and have had a few friends recommend Specialized. Maybe the Tahoes? To be determined. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks again, and feel free to keep the information coming. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
