I'd second that. The ability to directly access the menu commands of virtually any program from the shell in AmigaOS was a brilliant idea. I love the idea of a *nix/Amiga crossbreed OS. I'd also love to see an OS with a slightly more advanced permissions model with the ability for an element or folder to always inherit certain permissions from the folder it was currently contained within and/or the ability to set/change the defaults for a folder to determine what happens when a new file is created. Correctly implemented this would make the job of setting permissions less time consuming.
