I've been looking into electronics with the arduino and have come to the conclusion that I'd like to be able to make my own PCBs for my projects. Looking into it I'm happy to use UV reactive board and developer to print any circuits I want and - the developer is just a photographic developer that prints an etch-resistant pattern onto the copper where it hasn't been exposed to UV light - but the actual etching itself seems dangerous and high maintenance. I'm wondering if anyone in the group is working in an environment where they etch PCBs on a reasonably regular basis so that I could ask someone to bung mine in with the next batch.
Most of my boards would be small items (daughterboards for the Arduino. A VGA to RJ45 adaptor etc.) so it shouldn't be that much hassle. Please let me know if anyone can help. Yes I know it isn't directly Linux related...
