Talk of Google's open source operating system got me thinking about the desktop and menu design etc.
I have heard people say that the Linux desktop experience is lacking in some regard, at the same time the MS Windows approach to menus etc and things like having to use the Start button to shutdown the computer are not exactly intuitive. What do you folks see as needing improvement in current Linux desktop software or what would you do different to Windows if you had the luxury of starting again ?
