When I ripped my CDs to FLAC, and tried playing the FLAC files with Winamp, in real time, I got horrible sound quality. It was suggested that my CPU just wasn't fast enough to uncompress the files on the fly AND deliver good sound. I never tried this with WMA lossless, and don't know if the results would be any different.
