Yes, I do this myself, for the lists I host. It's the best way to prevent DMARC issues and it makes sense if you look at it as the mailing list is the entity responsible for getting the mail delivered. The mailing list is the sender, from a reputation perspective, at the very least. I've rewritten headers this way for years and it works well for me. I've also been blogging about this since (checks notes) 2014. https://www.spamresource.com/2015/02/dmarc-mailing-lists-roundup_18.html ARC isn't broadly adopted enough to say that it solves this well enough, in my opinion.
