And just to add, I strongly discourage any subscribers from joining with

this sheds some light on a more general question of how to deal with the
issues at hand...
Email addresses of some ESPs are of much more "high maintenance" to
permanently keep on a mailing list than those of others - I guess we all
know that some way or the other.
Now, one could possibly argue that it should be in the subscriber's very
own interest to join with a reliable (definition of ...) email address:
dealt and done with.
However, it might be case that it's also the mailing list owner who
would have a quite strong interest to keep as many subscribers on board
as possible, since the usefulness of the mailing list in question
increases or decreases with n squared. And therefore the owner tends to
iron out temporary wrinkles of suspensions or unsubscriptions. Also, an
announcement of the likes of "We would strongly like to welcome you on
board, but not with X, Y, or Z email address" is therefore not really
possible.
So, I would like to solicit your view points and comments on the
trade-off of running a mailing list that is email-address-wise as
inclusive as possible, and having to constantly clean up after the
latest non-delivery burps of these certain ESPs for X, Y, or Z email
addresses.
Thanks and best,
-C.
