Are you sure you are interpreting Yahoo's documentation correctly? I find it difficult to imagine that Yahoo would expect mailing list software to take special steps when delivering to Yahoo, based on market share. It seems most reasonable to me to apply the same munging/rewriting methods for each message, no matter which sender and recipient domain is involved.
