Thanks to all on this thread. I'm pretty much in the same place as ET on
the verge of purchasing a watch and making these decisions for myself.

I suspect I am willing to pay the extra (now $15 at T-Mo) for the
cellular service as I simply can't justify lugging around a big old
phone if my watch will do everything I need whilst I'm out and about.
However, I expect I'll pair a bluetooth headset with the watch. I'm
presuming the audio quality issue, understandably less from the watch
itself, is obviated by the headset? Frankly, I don't want to rely on
audio on my wrist while I'm carrying things and walking/riding around
manhattan with all its local noises. It seems a headset is the only
practical approach here. If I'm wrong, I simply cancel the cellular
service after a month or two and go back to lugging my phone around.

But that raises the prospect of what else I might want to do on my
phone. I certainly expect to read messages. I expect to read mail. And,
I expect to take and review notes. If I can add Safari into that mix the
case for watch only whilst out and about grows. Can I?

Frankly, pushing this thought further, if I'm sitting down somewhere for
an hour or so (as I was yesterday), mightn't I also be able to pull out
a BT keyboard and use it to reply to mail? Use it to add to my notes?
Use it to type in search strings for Safari that voice dictation didn't
quite get right?

Sop, I'm curious. Is it possible to do that much? What are the practical
limits here?

Best,
Janina
