Whether or not to go cellular is entirely up to you. You'll spend $100 more for 
the watch, and you'll pay $10 a month for cellular service on the watch.
If you carry your phone with you everywhere as do I, then you probably don't 
need a watch with cellular service.

As for which band to get, go ahead and start with the silicon sport band, and 
then if you want something different, you can always get it later.
