Maybe the UI uses TTF fonts and XeTeX uses OTF and you have an old OTF version of DejaVu? It works here, with both Charis SIL and DejaVu as document fonts (LyX-2.0 makes it easy to select fonts for XeTeX :-). Did you manage to get the yat with any other Document font? Günter
