A better solution would be to fix this inside LyX. Your installer tries to be too clever for my taste (fiddling with personal preferences, removing programs on deinstallation). I do see that this is useful for many people, but I would be very upset if an official installer would change my preferences, so lets be conservative here. > Would you at least > mention the new installer in the announcement?
