Actually, this goes towards having different profiles for settings - drafting, finalizing, reviewing, ... for which several settings might be different (e.g. show pictures, preview maths mode, track changes, ...). I would be a bloat of the lyx file format if all settings would be included, but to add a "settings profile" per document basis, would make much sense.
