It's a bit more complicated: A user might want to "normalize" language
variants but keep "truly distinct" languages. 

E.g. I would like my documents to be either completely ngerman or
completely ogerman (i.e. German with either traditional or reformed
orthography) but keep English parts marked as English.

Would we also create an option to accomodate users wanting to insert
consecutive spaces, tabs or linefeeds?
