The problem with footballers is that they are a right bunch of whingeing bastards with self-inflated ego's who have no sense of loyality.
How many times have we heard someone say (kewell for example) "I have been a Liverpool supporter all my life and it is a dream come true to play for them", it is about time that the real world got into football. I don't want someone to play for Leeds who sees it at second best to play for them, I want them to feel the passion that we as supporters have for the club. Instead of sticking the squad players in the west stand or boxes to watch the game they should make them sit in the Revie stand with the supporters to experience exactly what football is about. Wise isn't the first manager to fuck things up by having passion, look how many times Kevin Keegan dropped a bollock whilst in the media spotlight, Fergiescum threw things around the dressing room. The heightened media attention that the game has is bound to highlight the occasional screw-up Whilst he isn't everyone's cup of tea, look at the situation from his point of view, he was sold a pup by someone that he obviously trusted and would have realised that he was on a hiding to nothing with the fans and media yet he still took the job and I don't think that you can fault him for choosing to drink from the poisoned chalice. I think a problem that we will have next season is that we will attract a lot of media attention, with this will come the agents and players who see Leeds as the ideal platform from which to get the maximum exposure before moving on to better things (higher league, more money, etc), in order to keep things on the straight and narrow we need someone like wise who is not going to take any shit and will kick someones arse around the car park when they fuck-up. Trialists coming to the club over the summer should be asked who they supported as a kid and whether or not they changed teams, if the answer is not Leeds then they can fuck off. Off for a lie down.
