A little bit I was told by a school mate of wise while I remember it, from around the time of 'wise vs taxi' when I was doing some training at a College in London. There was this man mountain of a bloke called Des, never really spoke much and mostly kept himself to himself. One lunchtime in the workshop there was a report about 'wise vs taxi' on the radio and Des pipes up "is that Dennis Wise the football player then?", I told him it was. Des then started to laugh and went on to tell us he'd gone through school in the same class as wise, and that he wouldn't trust him as far as he could throw him. (now Des was a big bloke and I imagine he could throw a dennis wise a fair old distance, but I don't think that's what Des was thinking) He described him as a cry baby who would cry at the drop of a hat (or a once great club), and that he considered him to be a little snitch for the teachers.
I wonder how much the little pigmy's changed? Was master-bates ever a teacher?
