There is only one thing worse than a radio that doesn't work properly, that's being grounded.
Having said that, I hate be frustrated by poor communication and/or having to fiddle with a radio in flight to get what I want out of it, so when it came time I did a bit of checking and ended up with a Xcom 760. They have a comparison WEB page http://www.mcp.com.au/xcom760/comparison/comparison.html which high lights all it's great features (I checked the WEB page facts against the manifacture's information on the WEB and found no errors, 2 years ago) We spend a lot of money on our aircraft and then try to save a buck on an important safety item like a radio??????? I'm going to buy an Icom A-5 for backup in my KR2 and in club gliders, which seem to have a lot of radio issues :-) My thoughts, for what they're worth (2 cents, more or less) Regards Barry Kruyssen Cairns, Australia k...@bigpond.com http://www.users.bigpond.com/kr2/kr2.htm
