At least as long as you are talking about usenet groups or
mailing lists there is a very simple yet well working method to
get rid of the problem: the magic word is 'killfile' :-))
If you are optimistic you could warn one *once* to stop such
insulting behavior - if you aren't you can also spare the time
and putting the person into the killfile at once.
Most people are not happy at all when noticing that they are
ignored and i could imagine that one might change his mind and
show more gentle behavior in order to stop people ignoring him.
