Yes I have am using Dishnet DSL connection. The
connection is fine as long as it is connected. But the
problem is that alomost everyday the line is down from
evening to early in the morning. I personally want to
switch to the local cable provider. The benifit is
atleast you can catch hold of him when there is a
problem. I cant do that because of the huge initial
cost (Rs 30,000/-) that I've paid in the beginning.

Customer Support is all the more annoying. I've sent
numerous messages through Email and through the
website. Forget about action, the messages are not
even acknowledged. The telephone support is almost
impossible to get through. You may go on trying the
no. sometimes even for days together.

At the time of registration I was asked to indicate
the preference of the Operating system. The choice
list included Linux as an option. I opted for windows
because the EDI software of Delhi customs is not
written for the Linux system. I am using the
connection on Linux through a proxy right now.

If there are any other users of DSL around we can get
together and fight for better services and support for
Linux.
