Hi! I had been thinking of chucking my pathetic cable net provider and going in for Dishnet DSL as there are no medium-high bandwidth provider in east delhi. Has anybody here used their service? What have your experience been?
On one of the many lists that I am subscribed to someone had mentioned that Dishnet forces users to use an USB modem which is not supported on Linux. This is very disturbing considering the stff initial non-refundable fee that they charge. So before commiting I would like others feedback. - Does the modem provided by Dishnet work in Linux? - I heard they use PPPOE for connection. Does it work with standard PPOE daemons on Linux, or do we have a custom dialer in Linux ? - How is their uptime and bandwidth during regular hours? And in the night? - In general how is their "customer support" ? Thanks in advance, Sandip P.S. It is pathetic how decent bandwidth is still hard to come by in the nation capital even for people who are willing to pay the price. -- Sandip Bhattacharya sandipb @ bigfoot.com ================================================ To subscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with subscribe in subject header To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in subject header Archives are available at http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd%40wpaa.org =================================================
