We need to define a unanimity into the forum to not turn it too
fragmented and too tired to read... An example of this [for me] is the
forum Fivetech what have many languages and sometimes you ask
something in English and is already answered in Spanish ... =(

In my opinion it is tiring, that you should be looking at various
places to see if already exists an answer to your question and I
believe that having a language by default, will be easier for all...
This would be an incentive for all to make efforts in order to
maintain a union in the group for the good of all.

Of course, this is only my opinion, what do you think?

I completely agree with your concerns and conclusion.

Even two languages can cause such confusion, so I'd say
let's open our forums for English speaking users and we
can think about languages once we see how it's used, what
ppl are missing, etc. But there must be a *very* strong
reason to start adding extra languages.

AFAICS such local Harbour related groups are already
existing outside the "official" world of Harbour, so,
non-English speaking have since long places to go
for information. And this is the right way IMO.

There is FiveTech for Spanish, pctoledo for Portuguese,
MiniGUI Hungarian, Massimo is starting with Italian one,
tere is probably more.

Question: Should we advertise comp.lang.clipper in parallel?
I would think this isn't necessary if we have a forum,
since it will again just split communication.

Opinion?

Brgds,
Viktor
