That's OK provided that the logo size and type (svg/png/gif etc.) don't change. In other words, if it's a drop-in replacement ("binary compatible" in code terms) then keeping the same name is sensible. If either changes, this could cause incompatibilities, in which case a name change may cause fewer issues in the long run.
