I mentionned Dosemu, which is in contrib. Does dosemu depend on non-free
software? You can use it to run free dos programs. There are many free
dos programs.=20

There are many doom engines in contrib. Again there are very many user
contributed levels (some of them are really good). Especially the
deathmatch type levels.

I realize that the main use of these programs may be to work with
non-free software. Yet they don't strictly depend on non-free software
in the same way that the installers that download non-free software do.
Or the many packages that are unusable without a non-free program.
