I am ordering parts and soon will do this installation and wanted to thank everyone for their input. I also wanted to clarify that I was not doing this in order to winterize the engine. Like others, I do that by pulling antifreeze from a bucket on the ground with a hose running to the seacock under the boat. What I was actually trying to do is create a way to unplug the engine raw water intake if something gets pulled up into it. I have had two occasions of grass/seaweed/plastic bag getting pulled into the intake while motoring and having to dive under the boat to clear it. Fortunately the conditions and water temperature were not a problem, but I wanted a better way to solve this problem without diving. With the Tee fitting on top of the seacock, I can run a thin fiberglass rod down through the seacock to clear it from inside the boat. Fingers crossed this works as planned. Dave
