When it comes to critical software like a production email server where everything is so intricated, I compile all the sources and don't rely on softwares compiled by unknown people unaware of all my needs and reorganizing the softwares the way they want. So I compile from scratch clamav, zlib, sendmail... and I know how all these softwares work together.
