In fairness, the state takes 4-5 months (or more) to do everything. Like the flashing lights at a dangerous intersection just down the road from you. Of course, the flashing lights probably won't do anything to stop people from blowing through the stop sign because they're texting.

We don't have any permitting or government fees. That's actually prohibited by state regulation. I haven't found the engineering to be that expensive either, even if contracted out.
