Do we, though? I've looked into this, probably 25 - 30 school districts in 
multiple states over the past 10 years. In only two cases was the median 
teacher income meaningfully less than the median household income for the 
district in which they taught. In some cases, the median teacher was upwards of 
10% more than the median household.

I think "low teacher pay" is nothing more than a myth.
