You're right, I was using the CSS terminology "border" to refer to the document property "changebars"; and indeed, the note under "limitations" does clearly explain that the converters are not perfect ;-}
N fwiw ... even FrameMaker, the nec plus ultra of documentation tools, makes a poor job of change bars in tables unless the user knows the workaround -----Original Message----- From: Hussein Shafie [mailto:huss...@xmlmind.com] Sent: donderdag 15 september 2016 9:13 To: Grundtvig Nielsen Niels Cc: 'xmleditor-support@xmlmind.com'; ditac-supp...@xmlmind.com Subject: Re: [XXE] first question about profiling On 09/15/2016 08:57 AM, Grundtvig Nielsen Niels wrote: > Hm. Now that I've understood that you were talking about changebars (changebars are not borders per se), the correct answer is almost certainly found in documentation: http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/limitations.html#limitations__flagging_contents Please search for "@changebar" and you'll find: --- Change bars are implemented by only a few XSL-FO 1.1 processors, namely RenderX XEP and Antenna House Formatter . For any other XSL-FO processor (e.g. Apache FOP, XMLmind XSL-FO Converter) and also for all XHTML-based output formats (e.g. EPUB, Web Help), change bars are emulated using left or right borders. This emulation may give poor results when a change bar is added to a table. --- ********************************************************************************************* Worldline SA/NV - Chaussee de Haecht 1442 Haachtsesteenweg - 1130 Brussels - Belgium RPM-RPR Bruxelles-Brussel - TVA-BTW BE 0418.547.872 Bankrekening-Compte Bancaire-Bank Account 310-0269424-44 BIC BBRUBEBB - IBAN BE55 3100 2694 2444 "The information contained in this e-mail and any attachment there to be confidential and may contain information which is protected by intellectual property rights.
