May be you are > interested. i think that dev is much better than M$ ides'. it is not packed with fluff that i will never use. i think that by making a good flexible plugin system that it can be whatever your much better is. i do not know anything about this smart debugger that you are speaking of. i do not use microsoft products if i can get around it. i also prefer to build visual things than to try building a debugger. it sounds like you are speaking of making a new debugger from scratch or something. that does not suit me at all.
perhaps if you find the right people you can get that started. it would be similar to what novell is doing with dot net.
