We've used VNC okay here under Windows XP Pro Build 2600. AT&T's 3.3.3r9 for Win32 works okay (including the restoration of the default system wallpaper ;).
We currently use the Tridia 1.5.4.0 source base for the machines though, and there are no troubles at all. Only troubles we've had are clients with registry settings incorrectly set, say the AuthHosts and Query settings. I noted though that the Tridia 1.5.3.0 source did have some appear to have some little issues that seemed to stop AuthHosts and the Query processes from working as you would expect. But 1.5.4.0 is free of this, and works fine on the XP boxes.
