I'm sending Tony to the blind apples group, since this has been discussed before and I think there is more that needs to be brought up here.  First of all, which phone is the problem on, then which ios is the problem with?  Is it IOS18.5, IOS18.6?  Then it's possible that there could be a bug on what is happening. With many, many Apple users, they can help more then you or me and give other options as well.

It is called Audio Ducking.
There are now two parts to audio ducking.
1. Audio ducking on always, or while VO is speaking, or off.
2. The percentage of the Ducking Amount. 1% would be virtually no ducking of the media, 99% would be almost total ducking of the media sounds, music, book, etc. Those are items in the rotor that you can select so you can adjust them as needed.

Hi folk,

I wonder is there a command or whatever to reduce background music  or radio sound when trying to hear VO.

Something like as in NVDA
where there is a keystroke for reducing background sound?

Thanks,

Tony
