Yes AT&T will let you do that. The only downside is that if they give you a 
discount on the price for the phone that you purchased on the payment plan when 
you go to pay it off, you will have to pay the full price so for instants if 
the price of the phone was 700 but AT&T gave you a discount of $200 so that 
you're only gonna pay 500 over the three years if you decide to pay it off 
early then you will likely have to pay the full 700 rather than the 500.
