When I have traded in items with Apple I have always had the option of
accepting their evaluation and if I did not they would return the item to me.

Most recently I traded in an Apple Watch series7. So if you’re unhappy with
your final trade in offer, you can have it returned to you and try to get a
better priced elsewhere. My series7 watch had a problem with the power button,
the trade in offer from Apple was £0. I had it returned to me a sold it
elsewhere, but I cannot remember what I got for it but it wasn’t as low as
Apple’s trade in offer.
