ok ok folks, the E71 and E71x is totally different in the firmware. E71 is symbianOS 9.2 whereas E71x is symbianOS 9.3. but both also 3rd generation phones. the update over the air does not exist in 9.2 devices. because maybe during that time, the air haven't blow to those devices <smiles>.
anyway, in my previous post, i've mention that i successfully update 1 E71 without the need to reinstall 3rd party apps, that could be just a minor fw update. -- Cheers, Allan (WKF) "Life is impermanent, happiness is not a necessity, a person must cherish the people around them." ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorbu...@btinternet.com> To: "Talks Mailing List" <talks@talksusers.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2011 22:58 Subject: Re: [Talks] updating firmware I have an e71 and cannot update over the air. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Chaltain" <chalt...@gmail.com> To: "Talks Mailing List" <talks@talksusers.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2011 3:56 PM Subject: Re: [Talks] updating firmware > I've done over the air updates on my E71X which didn't require > reinstalling anything.
