Hi. Yes. Restore will work after a firmware update. I've done it successfully
many times. 30 programs? Wow! Which ones?

i have more than 30 programs and more stuff installed, and besides,
last week i got my licence to use talks 5.2, i don't know if updating
the firmware, installing it and clicking on restore registration will
work. it's a single licence.
thanks for all the replies

Hi. Sorry to correct you, Alan, but everything will have to be re-installed on
the Nokia E71. It's an older phone, and everything
gets deleted when you do a sofrtware update. I have one. So, yes, Talks, and
any other apps, will need re-installing.

it is adviceable to backup important data before doing any software update in
any device. however, you do not need to reinstall
those softwares after the update process.

no, you are not allow to update the device while it is charging. you must make
sure that the battery is about 50% full or 100% full
is adviceable.
