I don't know anything about the plugins-API's or internal ways, can
respond based on what i observe at a user-level.

I beleive so.  There are plugins for reaper w. arbitrary inputs and
outputs (max 128?). e.g the various plugins from AALTO - spartaAmbiDec
etc.

Sorry, I have no clue.  Hopefully others with knowledge of Reapers ways
could chime in here.

Bottom-line: i used an existing plugin-version of Ambdec (lv2?) on
another machine last year, found it on the net somewhere.  Lost now.

I didn't do a through test at the time, but i didn't notice any
different output than the usual standalone Ambdec would deliver.
