Hi there,

 > "Virus" itself doesn't have a plural in Latin. 8-)

Actually "virus" is a very rare case in Latin for several reasons.
One reason is that according to some scholars it is indeclinable indeed,
while according to others it has a plural "viri".

Now, the Romans didn't have microscopes, so they didn't know those small
things that can make you sick. "Virus" for them were certain body liquids.
Like the slime produced by snails ;-)
Makes you think, doesn't it?

With all this lovely rant-rant-rant we seem to forget why we like this list.
Is there anyone else out there who ever got consistently wrong AWL scores?

Regards,

Sietze
