My earlier query (attached below) brought no replies, so I'll ask it in a different way. I have a Rehdat 7.2 server that hosts a number of different domains. I'd like to use ONE copy of SA to filter all mail for all domains on the server, but etc/procmailrc is ignored when mail comes in for one of the hosted domains.
Any Redhat procmail gurus out there that can provide some tips (the more detailed the better)? Calling SA from etc/procmailrc doesn't work -- it's apparently ignored when mail is for one of the hosted domains. Calling SA from virtualsite/etc/procmail doesn't work since apparently the virtual site cannot access root-owned programs. (procmail IS used, but the log shows an error -- the log shows: spamassassin: spamassassin: No such file or directory procmail: Program failure (127) of "spamassassin" procmail: Rescue of unfiltered data succeeded The message is then delivered to the mailbox. To me, this implies that I'd have to install SA for every single domain on the server; I'd MUCH rather have filtering be server-wide and have only one copy of SA to maintain. I'm still a *nix newbie, so if you have suggested solutions please spell them out pretty explicitly.
