When I change my default Dvorak layout to Qwerty (US), all apps use the

system a couple of weeks ago. I have been using pidgin for a few weeks
since then. With startup today it failed to start. (well it starts, and

I was able to fix this. I removed the yahoo account, then added the
account again. That did the trick.
I tried to see if there was a difference in the accounts.xml. But even
if i restore the original 'yahoo' account from the older accounts.xml

box. Not an ubuntu problem per se, really more of an intel/xorg/kernel

day. I think there are still many problems with the suspend feature. You
may do better by upgrading to Hardy Heron 8.04, reinstalling from a CD

Have you got BOINC running without a CPU usage restriction? I found this
can hog the CPU if you don't specify a reasonably small CPU usage limit
for it.

install CD, amd64 server (text installer), and the install process fails at the
partitioning step. I was able to use a shell on another tty to partition my hd
(/dev/sda), but even once partitioned, the installer doesn't

I was just about to report it, because now i'm able to reproduce this.
This bug happens when you have multiple gnome-terminal's opened. And
*if* you close one *window* (and not exit the shell), and afterwards you
change a profile setting... then the crash happens.

i ran dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg which i guess brings me back
to the default xorg.conf. the corresponding Xorg.0.log gives the
attached. renamed ".default"

I upgraded to jaunty direct from the ubuntu main server so diodn't have
a live jaunty cd available. An old hardy beta live cd boots into x and
gives the following Xorg.0.log which i have renamed to avoid confusion

just downloaded and ran jaunty live cd beta and it successfully booted
into x, although appears to be 16 bit screen depth looking at the screen
quality. please see Xorg.0.log for jaunty live cd attached.

Just upgraded a server from dapper to hardy, after which the /backup couldn't
be mounted... same device-mapper errors.
After removing evms and a reboot, it worked again.
