Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
I am a Dvorak layout user, but I keep Qwerty as an option in the layout switcher. When I change my default Dvorak layout to Qwerty (US), all apps use the new mapping. However in Gnome-terminal Control+[Key] still is using [Key] in the Dvorak Layout. E.g.: A user who wants to use my computer in US layout, cannot type Control+C, because Gnome-terminal thinks he is typing Control+J (Dvorak). When not using Control+Key, typing Qwerty works in the terminal as well. All other applications, like Firefox, can switch completely to US and back, the Control-keys functioning as expected. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-terminal Control+Key: Key not the current selected keyboard layout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/262270 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
