Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: debian-installer

Both the standard and alternate installer .iso for Ubuntu 9.04 fail at
the same point. The system will boot from the disk, I can select my
language, and am then taken to the main menu for the installer cd. I
have selected options to install, run live, or recover a broken as
appropriate from both disks. When I make my selection, the screen goes
black and a blinking cursor appears in the upper left. This is as far
as it will go. complete halt at this point. same thing after multiple
reboots.

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
