compiz is not required, for me it works with plain metacity.

On hardy, leaving my computer open with firefox causes the firefox
window to shift into the far left corner, and the toolbars for firefox
and ubuntu to become unclickable. I use desktop effects (cube), and
firefox 3b5. Trying to revolve around the cube doesn't fix the problem.
With me Nautilus always asks for credentials for password protected shares,
but a message 'failed to load windows share' always comes up. Also when
using the ip isntead of the dns name.

Mine was (probably) unusual, in that I upgraded a (newly installed and
patched) 6.06 installation straight to 8.04.
Did this because my father has a PC running 6.06, and he never receives

I can confirm the issue on my ubuntu 8.04 64bit. The same happens also
if you are only adding a calendar event on your local calendar, as long

Here are some more details of the problem.
Normally I do use /netstat/ command to monitor connections while on w.w.w.
But this time I can't , when press shift+home it scrolls but not to top,so

Hi,
this has just happened to me for the first time. Since Thursday, I used
to suspend my Thinkpad R60e at least once a day. Yesterday I suspended
it too, everything worked, but now after I have switched it on, gnome-
power-manager gave me that error.
Everything seems to be working just as before
the issue seems to be due to libtracker, it's trying to use tracker but
should not autostart it if it's not running

I built a Hardy package from 0.9.60 sources as soon as it was released
