The ubuntu studio installer does not propogate kernel options to the
menu.lst grub config file after install.
In 7.04 feisty, using the live cd to install, my required kernel opts
(nosmp, noapic, nolapic) were automatically put into menu.lst so the
system would correctly rebo

This is a bug. There should be a way of turning off this feature in
Konqueror using the GUI.
However if you add the following to ~/.kde/share/config/khtmlrc it will
disable access keys:

I like how Kry didn't even read what I wrote.
Even if you *don't accept the standard*, it's still wrong. It should be
capitalized traditional KB or standardized KiB. Lowercase kB is wrong
no matter what.

Ok, I really think that the problem occurs because your system is trying to
read an encrypted DVD but you don't have the required libdvdcss3 package
installed. I had the same problem and after I installed that package,
everything worked fine. Have you tried using a non-encrypted DVD?
