I can confirm that the bug is present in Fesity Fawn 7.04 official release. I was running gparted off the installer live cd in order to repartition my system, and every so often, the partitions would be mounted, causing the repartitioning step to fail. Note that these are not 'removable' drives; these are IDE hard disk partitions!
This bug has been marked as Fix Committed, but the comments suggest that the fix is not a good one, and it certainly has not appeared in Feisty.
