My experience is similar to Sean's although I have managed to keep my
system in a usable state. mdadm and my raid seem to be functioning as
normal, I just can't get through any apt related tasks without it
getting stuck on configuring mdadm. I am also seeing update-grub run
through my kernels twice

I have this bug too. At first it was super annoying as the
configuration reverted to what was in my xorg.conf file which was set to
an older configuration set up with different monitors. The annoying
part was it switched my monitors so that the left one was on the right.
My set up is a 1680x1050
same here... I had this cups-pdf working in karmic. When I upgraded to
lucid, the upgrade manager removed it. When I reinstalled, it didn't
work. I tried emptying the ~/PDF directory, removing it and recreating
it. No change. Purging and reinstalling didn't help. I guess I can

Eric L., I have been using your repo on my ubuntu installs for some time
now. I find that it generally works great with generally comparable
performance to the Windows version. A couple of areas where it could be
improved is in the application menu (Karmic w Gnome 2.28.1) it does not

I just ran into this on Jaunty. Installing cups-pdf package. Was
trying every password I could ever remember trying. Argggh. Then I

Sorry, I completely disagree. The value of cups-pdf is it works across
applications. The most typical use case for me is printing something
from Firefox which does not provide the ability to save to pdf itself.
Martin's logic for closing this bug is flawed.

Let's keep things straight here. There are two pieces of software out
there that, as I understand it, do slightly different things. First,
came the prism application. This is software is in the Ubuntu
repos
I have found this same bug in the firefox 3 rc. Uninstalling the prism
extension did eliminate the crashing on downloads. However, I am
conerned that moving this bug report to invalid is wrong. Prism is a
major new feature of this new release of firefox where you are to be
able to make "webapps"
I rebooted this machine after it gave me the error on the distribution
upgrade. I cleaned the packages up manually with aptitude. Seems
normal now. Not sure what the error was about...

I have an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M in my Toshiba A135-S2386 Laptop with
the ATI driver 8.34.8 driver installed from the repository. I have
tried the various options suggested above to no avail. It suspends ok,
but the display does not come back when I resume. Hibernate seems to
work ok.

Well, I worked around it. I restored it from google which I had been
syncing to from evolution with syncevolution. the guy at scheduleworld
helped me. I just had to delete the corrupt .ics and restart evolution.
It then created a new .ics and i did a one way sync back to evolution.
