I have not upgraded to Karmic Koala. As installed, the problem still existed.

I am still running Intrepid as my main installation so installed Jaunty
Beta 1 in Virtualbox. Unfortunately, the problem seems to still be

package that was pushed out in one of the recent Intrepid Ibex updates
that seems to have fixed the problem I was having trying to view Verizon
Wireless' site.

After installing apt-xapian-index on Intrepid system, and restarting of
Synaptic, I get rebuilding index. After a few minutes it pops back to
