Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: audacity

When using the Mixer Toolbar in Audacity 1.3.5-2 (beta) you should have
three items: Output Volume, Input Volume and Input Selector is missing.

There was a bug reported previously (101131) in Kubuntu 7.04 that was
the exact same problem. It was apparently fixed when Ubuntu went to
v1.3.2. However, the problem is appearing with Intrepid Ibex Alpha 2 and
the Audacity build included.

One of the suggestions on the Audacity wiki is to make sure you don't
have too many inputs specified in the Audio I/O preferences. No matter
whether mine is set to 1 or 9, the input selector does not appear.

Using a Soundblaster 5.1 w/LiveDrive and Alsa.

CURRENT WORKAROUND: Bring up Alsa-Mixer and turn on and off the input
channels I want, or don't want. Set Audio I/O preference to a large
number of channels, say 9 (the specs indicate my device will allow 16!!)
and it will record input from all the devices hooked up.

In the "for what its worth" catagory my build of Audacity on a Powerbook
G4, using OSX is version 1.35-d and the selector is there just fine. (Is
v1.35-d the equivilent of what would be 1.3.5-4 in the Linux World??? I
couldn't find any new nightlies to use.)
