Hmm, I'm stumped. I tried the same message, set my punctuation to none,
and I heard 140 1, with a little pause between the 140 and
20 characters, but it still says 161.
I wonder if Talks will remind us if we exceed the limit?

Hi,
To test it, I went to message area, without typing anything, I did the
process, and Talks still says 161.
By the way, there's a pause in between 160 and 1. Not sure wh

That's what you'll hear if your punctuation is set to none. If you change
your punctuation to all or some then you'll hear 160(1), that's "160 left

Not really, I get the same message "read status indicator", when I want to

longer, I get the info about the battery status etc.

You can answer this by going into a new message arrowing to the text area
and before you type any thing at all, do a Talks release it and press and
for
longer, I get the info about the battery status etc.

Is there a way of checking how many characters you have written in a
